DataSelf ETL and SQL Views Backup

If you are not changing the underlying SQL data, you can skip this step.

Make a backup before making changes in the ETL or to the SQL views. The easiest way to do this is with the ETL's Metadata backup utility, which includes

• a script of the SQL views,
• the ETL's SQL metadata that controls the data warehouse,
• and the entire ETL project folder and subfolders.

This document assumes you already have a basic familiarity with the DataSelf ETL program.
