Designate the SQL source

Even if the connection reports no error, the first time an Out of the Box data source is used you need to replace the Server name "(local)" with the correct SQL instance name and save your changes.


  1. In DataSelf Desktop, go to the Data Source tab (lower left).


  1. Click on Server "(local)" and replace it with the actual SQL instance name. This is the addressing DataSelf Web Server will use to refresh the published data source.


  1. Return to the Sheet 1 tab.
