Turning Fulfillment Gaps into Actionable Insights

Missed shipments. They’re an unfortunate but unavoidable part of doing business as a distributor. And as important as it is to use processes and technologies that improve the shipping process, it’s equally important to leverage analytics that identifies not only what shipments have been missed, but who’s been affected, the impact on revenue, and whether these missed shipments point at any identifiable trends.

The Missed Shipments report is designed to answer these questions. The ‘who’, ‘what’, and ‘when’ of each shipment is delivered; additionally, this report (as with all other DataSelf reports) can be configured so that if there is no matching data (i.e., no missing shipments for yesterday), the report will not generate – saving staff from the confusion of receiving a blank report.

The top business insights provided by this report include:

  • Shipments that were supposed to go out but did not
  • Customers who may be dissatisfied due to a delayed delivery
  • Specific items that are more prone to late deliveries
  • The total dollar value of shipments that failed to be shipped
  • The total quantity of items that failed to be shipped
  • Specific salesreps whose orders are more prone to be shipped late
  • Specific customers whose orders are more prone to be shipped late
  • Specific types of items that are more prone to be shipped late

The report includes the following components:

KPIs: quantity not shipped, dollar value not shipped
Totaled by: date, item type, salesperson, customer
Selectable by: date range, item type, salesperson, customer
Timeframe: user selectable expected ship date
