Summary: DataSelf BI’s “consultant in a box” just got a lot smarter with 230 new pre-defined reports and KPIs, for a total of 780.

San Jose, July 16, 2008 — DataSelf BI’s “consultant in a box” just got a lot smarter—thanks to creative listening. Beginning now, the solution’s set of critical indicators for mid-size organizations comes with 230 more reports and KPIs—for a total of 780.

“Our customers’ needs continue to drive improvements in our predefined KPIs,” says DataSelf CEO Joni Girardi, “We’re always listening, and always considering whether a new set of KPIs can be valuable for other clients.”

One new KPI, for example, came out of a customer’s need to give Technical Support information to judge each caller’s overall importance to the company. To let Tech Support prioritize each call correctly, DataSelf created a cross-reference with two other KPIs: the customer’s completed sales over the past year and pending sales.

Salespeople also got new indicators. Staff can now improve sales by monitoring tech support history. For example, are there open support cases associated to clients with sale opportunities? Is tech support giving them the right priority? Also, a customer’s support history may provide cost insights to be factored into pricing.

“Our set of predefined KPIs often inspires our clients—they wonder what else can be measured and that creativity often feeds right back to our KPI package—it’s a win-win snowball cycle” says Girardi.

DataSelf BI provides an easy yet powerful means to report or “slice   and dice” business transaction data. On average, managers can tackle 70% or more of their reporting needs without IT support. They can write new reports faster than they can eat a donut. Other benefits are:

  • Quick deployment at a fraction of the cost of competing solutions.
  •  Immediate integration with several mid-market business systems, including Sage Accpac ERP, SageCRM, Sage MAS 90 ERP, Sage MAS 200 ERP, Sage MAS 500 ERP, Sage Pro ERP, Sage PFW ERP, Sage SalesLogix, Microsoft Dynamics, and SAP Business One.
  •  A comprehensive data warehouse, several OLAP cubes, dashboards, forecasting, budgeting, operational and financial reporting, commissions, analytics, data mining, SQL mirroring, balanced scorecards, business activity monitoring, and optional integration with Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server and SharePoint.
